International Style Pilsner. This 2009 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal winner is pale gold in color, light body with a crisp and dry finish. 17 IBU'S, 4.5% alcohol by volume
Vienna-style Lager. This 2009 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal winner is an amber colored lager medium in body with a finish that has hints of caramel and toasted nuts. This beer is brewed with four different malts resulting in its smooth malty flavor. 12 degrees plato, 20 IBU's, 4.9% alcohol by volume.
Bavarian-style Hefeweizen. This traditional Bavarian-style wheat beer is hazy gold in color, with a lively fruity finish that has hints of clove and banana. This is the beer that started the odyssey that led to the creation of Devils Backbone Brewing Company. During a ski trip to the Alps, DBBC founder Steve Crandall discovered and fell in love with Hefeweizen. Now we bring Hefeweizen to the Blue Ridge. 11.8 degrees plato, 13 IBU’s, 4.7% alcohol by volume.
American-style India Pale Ale. This pale bronze beer is medium in body with intense hop flavor and aroma. Our IPA is brewed in the style of the “west coast” with robust hop character coming from American grown varieties of hops. IPA’s are amongst the most popular craft brewed beers as they have moderate strength and tons of flavor. This is not your Grandfathers beer! 14 degrees plato, 60 IBU’s, 5.9% alcohol by volume.
Gourmet Malt Liquor. Gold, medium bodied , with a full flavor you can sink your teeth into! 16 IBU'S, 6.0 alcohol by volume
Belgian-style Triple. Burnished gold in color, medium bodied, with subtle spiciness married with intense fruity notes that exemplify the style. Delicate yet bold. 22 IBU's, 5.1% alcohol by volume
German-style Black Lager. Subtle roasted notes blend with a smoothness that only a lager can provide. 22 IBU'S, 5.1% alcohol by volume.
Scottish 60 Shilling. The original is back. Brown in color, light to medium body, with toasted caramel flavors, this session beer blends flavor without the weight. 20 IBU'S, 4.0% alcohol by volume
Brown Ale. This incarnation of the NBA is "Imperial". A blend of dopplebock, barleywine, and imperial stout dry hopped with whole flower Centennial hops. Deep brown in color with complex malt tones and herbal hop notes without extra bitterness. 40 IBU's, 8.5% alcohol by volume
Barleywine. Complex flavors from english ale yeast, specialty malts, and hops create a depth of synergy in this well matured strong beer. Barleywines are the cognacs of the brewing world. 40 IBU"S, 11.0% alcohol by volume
